Thank you all for the quick response to the complimentary sessions. They were gone within a couple of hours of me posting the blog. I can't wait.

There were 10 Dora's in the picture I posted. Congratulations to Shanon who gets a Starbuck's gift card.

I am sure you have all noticed spring is in the air. They days are getting longer and the weather has been beautiful! I will not be taking any sessions during the week of March 10-16th as I will be spending spring break with my family.

The blog special for the next 2 weeks will encourage you to share the love. Book a session with a friend from today until March 10th and split the session fee. That's right, you and your friend will each get a full session but only pay half the price. Sessions are limited, so book soon.

End of February session special.

I still have a couple of session spots open for the end of February and the first week of March. To get them filled up I will offer a complimentary waived session fee to the next 3 new clients who contact me. That's right. No session fee at all.

They are saying that we are getting to the end of the cold weather. Spring is just around the corner. They are also saying that we should expect a bumper crop of wildflowers this year. I can't wait because pictures in the bluebonnets are always some of my favorites. Spring wildflowers sessions will begin booking soon. I expect them to fill up fast, so please call as soon s you can if you are interested.

February blog specials and contest

So here we are. Already one month into 2007. It's almost February. I love February for a lot of reasons. One of them being that my middle son's birthday is Valentine's Day. How sweet is that? He really gets excited about it and thinks that it's his special day. And it is. We always celebrate Valentine's day as a family and make great dinner and have cake.

February also means that spring is just around the corner. Finally we will be coming out of the cold and into the warm, green Texas spring. And you know what that means???

Bluebonnets!!!!!!!!!! And other beautiful Texas wildflowers. I can't wait for that.

But back to February. It's still pretty cool, and still pretty brown. Luckily in Texas we still have nice sun for indoor portraits and we still have enough warm days for maybe a few outside shots as well.

This little lady here is doing her best impression of the Valentine's Fairy. She sure was thrilled to get a lollipop bigger than her head. She was so overwhelmed that she didn't even cry when we took it away from her.

Now for the fun part. The February Blog Contest. I just love these because I love to see people win things. Since Valentine's Day is a holiday where you share your love for others, this month's contest will be about best friends and special relationships.

E-mail me at stephanie@srevellphoto.com with the subject Feb contest, and tell me about your best friend and why she/he should win a complimentary photo session. Please put your name and e-mail address and your nominee's name and e-mail address as well. You can tell me the story of how and when you met, why you became friends, and why your best friend is the most special of all and deserves the free session. I will pick my top 5 favorite entries and draw one to win. The best part of this is not only will your very special best friend win a complimentary weekday session, but the person who enters their name will also win a $50 gift certificate good for session fee or prints. Isn't it nice when you can do something nice for someone else and still get a little treat yourself?

Valentines

I am thrilled this year to be able to offer tiny valentines as a special to all clients who had a session this past year. They are absolutely gorgeous and you will be the talk of everyone you know. They are small folded cards with your images. On the front is a small image, about an inch high.

And on the inside is a bigger image, about 1.5 X 1.5. The cards are printed on beautiful linen cardstock. Envelopes will not be included for these.

You may select any of your archived images for these cards. They must be ordered by this coming Monday, January 29th. Please contact me at stephanie@srevellphoto.com for pricing information.

Also, just a note that my e-mail address has changed. It's the one above. If you accidentally use the other one, it's okay though, because the other one will still work for a little while.
